When is the Sydney Treasure Hunt on?

Families can participate in the Sydney Treasure Hunt any time between 1 July and 30 September 2011.

You can start the Sydney Treasure Hunt at any Monorail Station

How do we get there?

Catch the Light Rail, drive or take public transport to the City or Darling Harbour

When is the Monorail open?

Monday to Friday from 7am to 10pm. We open at 8am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday

How many times can our family do the Treasure Hunt?

Families can do the Treasure Hunt as many times as you like. You will need to purchase a Family Pass for each day that you travel on the Monorail.

Do you have to be in a family to do the Sydney Treasure Hunt?

Anyone who buys a Family Pass will get a map and is eligible to enter, as long as you keep your family ticket as proof of purchase.

Are all Monorail Family tickets valid for the Treasure Hunt?

Yes if you purchase any of the follow tickets you will be given a treasure map to complete the Treasure Hunt:
• Monorail Family Day Pass
• Family Day Pass Monorail & Light Rail

How much are the Family tickets?

• Monorail Family Day Pass $23.00
• Family Day Pass Monorail & Light Rail $37.50

Can families travelling on the Light Rail participate?

If you purchase a Monorail Family Day Pass or Family Day Pass Monorail & Light Rail, you will be eligible to enter. Light Rail only family day passes are not valid for participation in the Treasure Hunt.

How many people are included with a Family Pass?

2 Adult & 2 Children or 1 Adult and 3 Children.

What if we have additional children?

Extra child tickets are available from $4 per child.

If all children are under 6 years and free, do we need to purchase a Family Pass?

You are welcome to travel on the Monorail with your children under six travelling for free but to receive treasure maps to complete the Treasure Hunt, you need to purchase a Treasure Hunt Family Day Pass. (Single passes do not include treasure maps)

How long does it take to do the Treasure Hunt?

Depends on your family but you should be able to do it in about 2 hours, or make a day of it and take your time.

Do you have to have all the answers completed to enter the competition?

You should try and get as many answers as possible correct, however, you can download your Treasure Hunt Certificate without completing all the answers. You will need to answer Question 16 and enter the number on your Family Ticket for your chance to WIN an Apple iPad.

Do we have to pay other fees or visit any other attractions to do the Treasure Hunt?

No, all the answers can be found on the Monorail network or around the City and Darling Harbour

When do we have to enter on-line for the chance to win?

You will need to submit answers on-line at www.monorail.com.au by 31 October 2011

What if we don’t finish all the answers in one day?

You can come back again another day and try again, or submit the answers you have and your entry will still be counted.

What if you don’t have access to a computer at home?

There is an internet café at Harbourside shopping centre and World Square shopping centre and a number of them in the City

How do we print out the Treasure Hunt Certificate?

It is very easy. Go to Monorail.com.au and you will be given all the instructions. It is as simple as entering your child’s name and printing it out. You will need a printer.

Do you have to have all the answers completed to download the Treasure Hunt Certificate?

No

Can we submit the answers at a Monorail Station to enter?

No, Treasure Maps can’t be handed in at the stations. In order to win you must enter the answers via the website at www.monorail.com.au
