The Friend in Hand is so crammed with bric-a-brac, it's hard to make out the bar for all the mannequin legs, super soakers, bear traps and empty bird cages. There's even a Toohey's train that tootles its way around the top shelves of the bar.
This Glebe institution is most famous, however, for the crab races that happen every Wednesday night at 7.30pm – first crab to make it to the edge wins. This is a super fun pub.
The beers are cold, the craic is mighty and the bartenders are sweet as pie.
