Choosing The Right Place To Stay Within Reach Of The Monorail Or Light Rail
If you are coming to Sydney in the near future and you are intending on spending a night or two in the area, then you should give careful consideration on where you should book a room.
That’s because there are plenty of places you can stay – so many in fact that you are really spoilt for choice. But one thing that may narrow it down slightly (in the best possible way) is thinking about booking accommodation near to either the Monorail or the Light Rail.
That’s because there are plenty of Sydney tourist attractions near to both of these rail systems, and the versatility and accessibility offered by both the Monorail and the Light Rail mean that you can walk out of your hotel in the morning and be where you want to be within minutes of hopping on the next train.
The first step to making sure you get the best accommodation is to get hold of a map which shows you where the Monorail and the Light Rail systems run. You can then look for the places you know you will want to visit and highlight them on the map. There are certainly plenty to choose from – there’s Star City, Harbourside, the IMAX theatre and lots of shops, eateries and attractions that will keep you entertained during your stay, however long it might be for.
Once you have highlighted your top choices you can see what kind of area would offer the best place to start looking for accommodation. You might want to be right in the thick of the action and stay right in the heart of Sydney itself; the Monorail runs until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and until 10pm for the rest of the week, so whatever you want to do and wherever you want to go you won’t have to worry about getting back to your hotel.
But if you prefer somewhere a little quieter and out of the way, then why not rely on the Light Rail to get you into the main area of Sydney each day? There are plenty of wonderful places to stay which are close to the Light Rail route; why not consider Jubilee Park for instance? Not only are you close by to a stunning park that would in itself provide a nice relaxing venue for a day out and perhaps a picnic, but Jubilee Park also has a Light Rail stop right next to it so you can easily reach the main part of Sydney including the harbour by hopping on the train.
So you can see, by doing a little research before you make your hotel booking you can really enhance your stay in Sydney by making the most of the excellent travel facilities that are provided. Besides which, a lot of people jot down the Monorail and the Light Rail as an experience to try on their own as well, so you’re guaranteed to have a great time.
