See What Sydney Is Made Of From The Monorail

Sydney is one of the most stunning cities in Australia, and you won’t run out of things to see and do when you plan a visit there.

But the biggest treat you could give yourself when you arrive is to find the nearest stop for the Sydney Monorail, buy a ticket and hop on.  The fifteen minute circular ride is the best way to see what the city has to offer before deciding where you want to go first.

It will also give you a unique photo opportunity, since the angles you get from your high vantage point over the sights and sounds of the city will make for some fantastic photographs to take back home with you.  The beauty of the circular nature of the Monorail is that you can always go back round to have another go at taking that particular shot you really want to have for the album once you get home.

While the Monorail gives you a nice overview of the city before you actually explore some of it on foot, it also gives you a higher vantage point to see the heart of the city from.  You’ll no doubt spot things you wouldn’t have done before, and it can be worth making a mental note of particular places that you see which might be worth a closer look once you get off and get closer to the attractions and architecture that make Sydney one of the most stunning cities in the world.

One of the best things about the Sydney Monorail – and one of the reasons why it is so popular among tourists – is that it winds its way through many of the best sights that the city has to offer.  Paddy’s Markets and Chinatown offer a cornucopia of markets and stores that you can spend hours in searching for bargains and great bites to eat, and you can get a taster of what to expect by viewing the area from the Monorail before you alight from it and go down to street level for a closer look.

You’ll also enjoy getting a bird’s eye view of the Harbourside area before visiting it on foot; this has a wide range of restaurants and activities to enjoy, and you can spend several hours (if not a whole day) there before hopping back on the Monorail again.

One tip for using the Monorail is to make sure that whenever you leave the city, don’t do so until you have travelled on the Monorail at night.  When the sun goes down and all the lights come on you’ll see the city from that unique vantage point in a totally different way.  It’s truly magical and it’s well worth making the circular trip to make sure you don’t miss anything.

So you see the Sydney Monorail does far more than just get you from place A to place B.  It also gives you a snapshot of the city before you start investigating each part of it, not to mention a view you’ll never forget.
