Benefits Of The Monorail For Workers In The City
For many of us the mere idea of having to get up and travel into work by train doesn’t exactly conjure up any pleasant images.
But for lucky workers in Sydney there is one way to get to work that almost guarantees they won’t be reading the paper when they get on board their train.
That’s because they are riding the Monorail, which takes you deep into the heart of Sydney City and therefore provides an ideal way for all sorts of workers to reach their offices and places of work. The view you get from this transport system ensures that looking out the window is the better choice between doing that and reading a book or newspaper (although there is every chance that some workers have been so mesmerised by the view that they end up missing their stop completely!).
One of the main benefits of using the Monorail system as far as city workers are concerned is the price of travel. While the cost is quite reasonable anyway, city workers can buy a Metrocard which can be topped up whenever necessary and offers a cheaper way to use the Monorail every single day if necessary. Once you know what locations to top up at this is one of the best ways to travel to and from work using this system, and it guarantees a big discount on the regular price.
For people who travel in from the west of the city using the light rail system, they can buy a combined ticket which allows them to use both the light rail and the Monorail at a vastly reduced price. This kind of ticket runs for seven days and makes light work of hopping on and off the system to get to and from work.
Of course not everyone is in a regular nine to five job, but even those workers who work shift hours find that the Monorail and light rail are ideal for getting home safely. The Monorail runs until 10pm on most nights, while the light rail runs all through the night and day without any breaks at all. You can even catch it on Christmas Day, should you be in one of those few and far between jobs that includes Christmas Day on your shift pattern!
The reliability and quality of the service also makes the two rail systems very desirable for city workers of all kinds. Being able to get into work on time is obviously essential for everyone, and while the light rail and Monorail are very simple systems they are also very effective and rarely get delayed. The frequency of the service is such that even if you just miss a train you will only have to wait a few minutes to catch the next one.
It’s small wonder then that the Monorail and the light rail are very popular with workers in Sydney. As far as travelling to work is concerned, this has to be one of the best ways to do it.
